Learn more about the Job:

The Benefits Coordinator shall perform a wide range of duties within the People Support Services department including Benefits Administration, Leave Administration, Workers Compensation Analysis, and Employee Support as needed. Other tasks or special projects may be expected on an as needed basis. The position will report to Associate Director PSS with a dotted line to the Chief People & Diversity Officer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers companywide employee benefits programs including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and all Voluntary benefits. This includes enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA.
  • Prepare and reconcile all benefit payments, wellness reimbursement and other department bills for payment including the CPDO credit card reconciliation. Process and administer all new hire reimbursement requests for Live Scan and TB tests payments. Work closely with the accounting department to ensure all bills are submitted and paid in a timely fashion.
  • Process verification of employment, EDD verifications, Loan Forgiveness Program verifications and respond to inquiries from other outside partners.
  • Manage all Employee Leaves including FMLA, PDL, and any other type of leave available to employees by providing information, processing the leave, and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Manage all Workers Compensation claims and inquiries from employees and advise all employees of process and directions to obtain WC treatment as well as working with adjustors.
  • Manage the COVID Policies and Procedures with employees including time off, reports of COVID specific data and manage the entry letter program.
  • Communicates All For Kids policies and procedures to employees for all benefits related questions including assistance with eligibility and availability of benefits.
  • Ensure the organization remains in compliance and adheres to all relative state and federal laws.
  • Conduct employee benefits at New Hire Orientation meetings.
  • Partner with other department specialists to manage the Wellness Program from beginning to end.
  • Responsible for inputting data into the HRIS system and creating reports as well as working closely with payroll to ensure all subsequent benefit changes are accurately reflected in the HRIS.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5years of experience in benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Experience with benefits enrollment systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
