Position: Childcare Worker - Padres Poderosos
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $20.19/hour.
Lifespan Compensation: $20.19/hour - $23.55/hour
Work Location: Los Angeles (Magnolia Place)

Learn more about the Job:

Provide childcare and support to families to help to increase self-advocate/family knowledge about topics relating to service access, the regional center system, leadership development, business development, advocacy, independent facilitation, implicit bias, and developmental disabilities. Diversify and increase cultural and linguistic competence of regional center and/or service provider staff.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Childcare worker will assist with child care support during workshops and 1:1 coaching sessions.
    Childcare worker will collect data on the number of child attendees at each workshop and coaching sessions.
  • Childcare worker will track data on Welligent system and report findings.
  • Will schedule and reserve conference rooms at our Palmdale and Magnolia offices to facilitate workshops and coaching sessions.
  • Attend professional development and/or trainings relevant to increasing knowledge, skills and attitude required to deliver program effectively and with fidelity.
  • Attend community meetings, fairs/vendor events and similar events to advertise the program.
  • Actively recruit and retain program participants.
  • Advertise the program via flyers, e-newsletters and social media.
  • Maintain all required program paperwork and records.
  • Participate in all general staff meetings as required.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • A minimum of 20 college credits in Child development and/or two years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Experience in outreach/recruitment within the community
  • Experience working with Regional Center clients and families
