Additionally, the lifespan compensation range of this position is: $80,000/year - $95,000/year

Differentials that apply:

Bilingual Spanish Speaking Differential: $5000 annually

Geographic Differential: $3000 annually

This position plans, develops, coordinates and supervises all Day Treatment Intensive staff in the oversight of the program to ensure we are meeting the needs and interests of each client and family served by the DTI program. The Clinical Program Supervisor monitors required documentation and reports, insuring that staffs' documentation meets desired standards. Participates in budget development for the department and is responsible for its implementation and management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates services with referral agencies and DTI staff.
  • Provides monthly oversight of each client's DTI treatment plan to insure the effectiveness of interventions and outcome measures.
  • Organizes and supervises the service provision of DTI to clients, reporting overall productivity, clinical effectiveness and administrative activities.
  • Monitors and maintains the DTI census.
  • Carries out program management activities such as planning, staffing, budget, and program development.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, evaluates, supervises and disciplines DTI staff.
  • Work with DTI Clinicians to organize and supervise the provision of DTI services, including engagement, initial plan development, implementation, and transition, coordinating required documentation with DTI staff in timely manner.
  • Ensure MHRS role and function is in line with program effectiveness.
  • Work with DTI Clinicians and MHRS to monitor the quality of verbal reporting and written documentation of client involvement and progress in the DTI program on a regular basis.
  • Coordinates the DTI Program with the overall treatment being received by the client.
  • Oversees compliance with provision of individual and group clinical supervision to associates and staff. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Program Director or his/her designee as needed.
  • Ensure timely client access to services such that clients are identified, assigned, evaluated and treated within agency timeframe
  • Identifies potential problems with program or function and develops possible solutions, obtaining appropriate approvals when necessary.
  • Maintains positive external contacts related to program, including collaborative, schools, community resources, etc.
  • Supervise and run the milieu as needed for compliance.
  • Ensure to create MHRS weekly task and transportation assignment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Three (3) year direct service experience working with children in group home, hospital, SED classroom, day treatment or other equivalent setting.
  • One (1) year management experience.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Licensure as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered Psychologist in active status with State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology. Active status with respective board needs to remain active and in good standing at all times. It is the employee's responsibility to keep license active. Employment is contingent upon active license.
  • Two years post licensure and ability to supervise associates per BBS regulations
  • Valid California Driver's License.

  • Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel, and clients
  • Maintains positive communication with all agency staff, clients and visitors
  • Exercises good judgement in performance of duties and responsibilities
  • Supports existing agency policies, principles and mission.
  • Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously emotionally disturbed children, other staff, physicians and the public.
  • Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of community services and county agencies.
  • Proactive, upbeat personality, team player with a professional demeanor
