Your Role: Family Support Counselor - Prevention & Aftercare Services

Pay: $20.40/hour

Your Toolkit Should Include:

• Bachelor's degree in human services or behavioral sciences
• 2+ years working with children, families, community outreach, or parent education
• Knowledge of child development and community resources
• Strong assessment and case management skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Bilingual Spanish required

• Making thoughtful family assessments and recommending the right prevention supports
• Supporting families through crises with empathy and resourcefulness
• Teaching and modeling parenting and life skills in homes or offices
• Facilitating parent education groups in the community
• Navigating resources and ensuring families access the right services
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation
• Building strong community relationships and representing our mission with pride
• Exercising sound judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Bringing passion, cultural humility, and a people-first mindset to every interaction
