Job Type: Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
Salary: $22.60/hour
Work Location: Palmdale (Family Resource Center)

Learn more about the Job:

Facilitator will help prevent substance use and sexual risk behavior in Hispanic adolescents. They will lead multi-parent groups, meet for 8 weekly two-hour group sessions and 4 one-hour family visits during the 12 weeks. Each group has 12 to 15 parents, with at least one parent from each participating family.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Familias Unidas curriculum to Latino/Hispanic youth, adolescents and families who reside in SPA 1 with the goal of working with a specific number of program participants.
  • Attend professional development and/or trainings relevant to increasing knowledge, skills and attitude required to deliver program effectively and with fidelity.
  • Actively recruit and retain program participants.
  • Conduct 8, two-hour group sessions in-person for prospective participants.
  • Participate in clinical weekly supervision meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain all required program paperwork and records, including recordings of sessions as required.
  • Participate in all general staff meetings as required.
  • Integrate and Align the work of all agency programs with the Magnolia Community Initiative

Job Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Experience facilitating a group
  • Experience in outreach/recruitment within the community
