Your Role: Family Support Counselor

Location: Santa Ana

Pay: $27/Hourly

Your Toolkit Should Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services/Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of experience working with children and families, parenting support, or community outreach with low-income to high-risk families
• Knowledge of child development and community resources
• Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Strong organizational, follow-through, and verbal/written communication skills

Your Superpowers Include:

• Delivering PAT curriculum, assessments, and screenings to assigned families
• Teaching and modeling parenting skills in person, at community sites, and virtually
• Facilitating Group Connection parenting classes and developing parent leaders
• Setting SMART goals and connecting families to community resources
• Supporting families in crisis with referrals for shelter, childcare, health care, and other urgent needs
• Advocating for participants navigating systems like Cal-WORKs and Medi-Cal
• Maintaining accurate case files, documentation, and program records
• Attending case management, community, and agency collaboration meetings
• Building and sustaining strong relationships with community partners and agencies
• Upholding confidentiality and agency policies while supporting families, staff, and volunteers
