Additionally, the lifespan compensation range of this position is: $93,000/annually $120,000/annually

Learn more about the Job:

The Regional Manager (Prevention Department) will have oversight in the development, implementation, and assessments of all assigned prevention programs. The regional manager will supervise staff, manage program outcomes, budget oversight, and support resource acquisition. Regional Manager will be required to develop and maintain internal cross system collaboration (Accounting, PSS, and other programs). Regional Manager will be responsible for the development of leadership skills of staff and supervisors. Participate in organizations committees and leadership meetings.


Assigned Program Management

  • Provides direct supervision to assigned program personnel, including recruitment, selection training, coaching, evaluation, discipline, etc.
  • Assesses status of programs on an on-going basis and makes recommendations for future direction
  • Provides effective internal/external relations for program
  • Provide budget direction and support to program supervisors
  • Provide oversight of all program outcomes, incident reporting, compliance and other responsibilities as need per contract regulations
  • Participate in organizations COA process, CQI, and other as applied

Regional Program and Office Management

  • Provides daily supervision for all program personnel
  • Oversees the care and maintenance of program locations
  • Coordinates with accounting to ensure lease and all other financial matters pertaining to assigned contracts are handled in a timely matter, when appropriate.

Cross Sector systems

  • Support in establishing agency presence and leadership in designated region for assigned contracts.
  • Develops/maintains effective community relations with community partners
  • Participates in cross sector planning and decision-making opportunities as it pertains to contract with direct supervisor approval.
  • Acts as All For Kids representative with funders and community partners

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Access, Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ABIDE) and Trauma Informed Resilience Oriented Community (TIROC) practices are infused throughout the programing.
  • Ensure that the program(s) have accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) project goals, Critical Goals and Impact Goals that meet the mission and vision of Children's Bureau.
  • Review complaints and grievances and make necessary reports (monthly program report) during CQI committee.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the organization to assure that the department services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the clients we serve.
  • Review department policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes and ensure that program is always compliant with Council of Accreditation (COA) standards.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Will ensure the mentorship of direct reports and program staff.
  • Ensure that all aspects of programming and day to day duties are linked to impact.
  • Develop a culture of innovation with staff and program.
  • Embed the concepts of critical thinking skills within the culture of the program and staff.
  • Interpret organizational/department policies and procedures to staff, and clients as necessary.
  • Directly development and maintain of the program's budgets.
  • Directly develop the onboarding, retention and recognition plan to ensure that all program staff have the tools to be high impact leaders.
  • Directly assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of competent department staff.
  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with external stakeholders, state licensing, and government entities.
  • Create a strong partnership with People Support Services to ensure a healthy culture within the department.
  • Meets with department staff on a regularly scheduled basis and give guidance as it pertains to operation of the department, identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services.
  • Determine departmental staffing, evaluate employee performance, Salary recommendations, hiring terminations, transfers, etc.
  • Serve on various committees of the organization as required and as appointed by Chief Program Officer.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited four-year university required.
  • Five to seven years of social service experience
  • Three to Five years mid-level supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work within cross systems.
  • Five years' experience in more than one child welfare area, i.e., fosters care, residential care, in-home services, family preservation.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Proven ability to communicate at a high level of both oral and written expression with tact, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work efficiently and with accuracy, work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in core computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to apply logic to a situation or process
  • Ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from agency leadership, board members and the general public.
